(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Tirupati: Tirupati Lok Sabha MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao, who was going through treatment for COVID-19, passed on at a medical clinic in Chennai on Wednesday, relatives said. 

The 65-year old decision YSR Congress MP was admitted to the medical clinic in Chennai, around 140 km from here, three weeks back after he tried positive for the COVID, they said. 

Leader Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were among the individuals who mourned the demise of the first-run through MP from the Tirupati (SC) held supporters.

A three-time MLA and a previous state service, he is made due by his significant other, two children, and a little girl. 

A legal counselor, Mr. Rao began his political vocation as an individual from TDP and turned into an MLA without precedent for 1985. He joined the YSRC in front of the 2019 Lok Sabha decisions. 

“Disheartened by the downfall of Lok Sabha MP, Balli Durga Prasad Rao Garu. He was an accomplished pioneer, who gained powerful commitments towards the ground of Andhra Pradesh. My musings are with his family and well-wishers in this miserable hour. Om Shanti,” PM Modi tweeted. 

Jagan Reddy communicated significant distress over the death of the MP. “Misfortune to the gathering. He took a stab at individuals’ government assistance as MLA, Minister, and MP,” he said in a message. 

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Industries Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy, and a few MLAs from Chittoor District, under which Tirupati falls, communicated stun and mourned the passing of Mr. Rao. 

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy likewise mourned the passing of the MP, a delivery said here. 

Mr. Rao was School Education Minister in the Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet in the unified Andhra Pradesh during 1995-96. He was chosen for the state to get together from Gudur in Nellore District in 1985, 1994, and 2009.
