(Dharshini.G, Intern journalist) Chennai: The three-language formula in the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is “painful and saddening”, said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, as he promised not to execute the new arrangement.
Mr. Palaniswami recorded the stand by late Chief Ministers Anna Durai, MGR, and Jayalalithaa to communicate against the inconvenience of Hindi and asked Prime Minister Modi to “rethink” the three-language strategy.
“Tamil Nadu will never permit focus’ three language strategy. The three language strategy in New Education is excruciating and disheartening. The Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) should reconsider the three-language strategy,” the Chief Minister said in an announcement.
The CM likewise alluded to the anti-Hindi distress by Tamil Nadu understudies in 1965 when endeavors were made by the Congress government to make Hindi the official language.
