(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: Following the murder of his 5-year-old daughter Aadhya on July 2nd, her father, Kalyan committed suicide on Saturday. His body was found lying on the railway track at Bhongir.
According to the Hyderabad police, Kalyan Rao(37yrs) who belongs to Bhongir married Anusha of Ananthapur district in 2011. They met via Facebook and married. They were blessed with a baby girl in 2015 and happily named her Aadhya. But in recent years Anusha met a guy named Karunakar in a mobile store and was in an extra-marital relationship with him. Later, Karunakar introduced his close friend Rajashekar to Anusha and she maintained a close relationship with him too.
As the days went by, Anusha started ignoring Karunakar and this made him furious. On July 2nd Karunakar purchased two surgical blades and went to Anusha’s house. He was angry about seeing Rajashekar there and banged the door. As Anusha opened the door, Rajashekar hid, while Anusha locked Karunakar in Aadhya’s room. Karunakar threatened to kill Aadhya if Anusha doesn’t open the door. And finally the unexpected happened, Karunakar killed the poor little girl and attempted suicide.
Aadhya died on the way while she was taken to the hospital on July 2nd. The accused was admitted in Osmania and a case was filed against him. Unable to digest the fact that the daughter was no more, Aadhya’s Father Kalyan committed Suicide on July 11th. Kalyan’s family was in deep pain and grief on losing their son and granddaughter.
