(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Transgender activist Sarah McBride won Tuesday in the Democratic State Senate primary in Delaware. McBride worked as an intern in the White House during former President Barack Obama’s term and made history by becoming the first transgender person to speak at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
