It was told that by March 2024, Trains will start running between Kanpur to Delhi at a speed of 160 km per hour. At present, Vande Bharat Express completes the journey of Delhi in about four hours in the shortest time on this route.
NCRs PRO Amit Malviya said that the mission speed will include track, signal, OHE to rolling, and many other types of work. Signal work from Delhi to Central station has been updated to a great extent in addition to the Kanpur Lucknow rail section. By this period, DFC will also become operational, then goods trains will also start running on the Reserve track.
