(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: Director SS Rajamouli’s ambitious film ‘RRR’ is embroiled in controversy. Jr. NTR, mega power star Ramcharan Alluri Sitaramaraj’s upcoming film has been highly anticipated by the fans.
Rajamouli is releasing a movie teaser in stages for the fans who are eagerly waiting for the release date of this movie. The recently released NTR teaser has become controversial in this regard. Tarak, who plays the role of Komuram Bhim, is opposed to putting a Muslim hat on it.
Tribal youth today (Saturday) anointed the statue of Komuram Bhim in Utnoor, Adilabad district. They are outraged that NTR was given a Muslim hat in the ‘RRR’ teaser. Komuram Bhim was a warrior who fought against the tyrannical rule of the Nizam and advised Rajamouli to make a film with a complete understanding of his history. Rajamouli is incensed that the sentiments of the Adivasis have been damaged by making a film in Ishtar.
Tribals have warned that they will have to face dire consequences if they do not remove the scenes of Komuram Bhim with a Muslim hat in the film. However, the Bahubali film was still controversial. There were criticisms at the time that the tribals were being insulted.
