(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Summer is the best season to lose weight. This season makes you feel less hungry and also reduces the mood of fried food. In such a situation, if you include oats in your daily diet, then you can lose weight quickly. You can eat oats in many ways.
Oats Tikki’s easy recipe
Ingredients
2 cups finely chopped and lightly boiled cauliflower
1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup oats flour
3 1/2 tsp oil
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped and boiled beans
1/2 cup finely chopped and boiled carrots
11 tsp green chilli paste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp finely chopped mint
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1 1/2 tsp Amchur
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp chaat masala
salt to taste
To serve – Healthy green chutney
Heat 1 tsp of oil in a broad non-stick pan, add onion, and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Take out the onions in a deep bowl, add cauliflower, flattened rice, and carrots, mix well and mash them lightly using a potato masher.
Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes, so that the oats soak up all the flavor and tie well with the ingredients.
Divide the mixture into 16 parts and make a 50 mm (2 inches) flat round Tikki of each portion.
Heat a non-stick griddle and grease it with 1/4 tsp of oil. Cook each Tikki using 1/7 tsp of oil on a slow flame till they become golden and crisp on both sides. Serve immediately with a healthy green chutney.
