(Geetesh Ujjainwal, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: A major cause of negligence has come into light in the country’s largest hospital AIIMS. 2 female corona infected dead bodies have been interchanged in the AIIMS trauma center. One female was from the Muslim community and the other one was from the Hindu community. The dead body of Muslim women given to the Hindu family and vice versa. The complaint of such negligence has been made to the Delhi Police on behalf of the deceased woman’s family. At the same time, the AIIMS administration is assuming this mistake and is talking about improving its system.
The dead Muslim women is identified as Anjuman. She was admitted to AIIMS hospital on 4 July, she was tested corona positive. During the treatment, she died on 6 July at 11 pm but her family was informed at 2 am.
At the time of her burial at the cemetery, they saw her face then they got to know that the body has been swapped with another dead body. Then they informed about this to the hospital. So according to the inception of hospital administration, it was revealed that the dead body of Anjuman is replaced by the dead body of Hindu women, and the last rites of Anjuman were done by the Hindu family.
AIIMS Trauma Center authorities told that an inquiry has been set up in the matter and one person from the mortuary staff was terminated, while another was suspended.
