(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kochi: Two naval officers were killed by a glider crashing near the Thuppumpadi bridge in Kochi district of Kerala on Sunday morning. A statement by the Navy said that they left for INS Garuda for regular training and the glider crashed at around 7 am. The two officers who flew from the glider have been identified as Lieutenant Rajeev Jha (39) from Uttarakhand and Sunil Kumar (29), Petty Officer (Electrical Air) from Bihar. He was declared dead at INHS Sanjivani by doctors. The Southern Naval Command has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
