(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) U.S.A; On Tuesday the U.S Justice Department has indicted two nationals of Chinese over their role in what the agency called a decade –long cyber-espionage campaign which has targets the defense contractors, researcher of Covid-19 and many victims worldwide.
The U.S authorities said Li Xiaoyu and Dong Jiazhi stole the terabytes of weapon designs, software source code, drug information, and much data fro the targets which include dissidents and Chinese opposition people. They were the contractors of the Chinese government, rather than full-fledged spies.
At a virtual press Conference, the U.S Attorney General for National security said “the hacking has shown how China is willing to turn a blind eye to the criminal hackers operates within the border… In this way, china took its place with Russia, Iran and North Korea, in the shameful nation’s club which provides a safe haven for cybercrime with an exchange for the criminals being on call for state benefit”
