(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Puducherry government said on Thursday that it will open schools, cinema houses, etc. outside the containment zone in a phased manner by implementing the guidelines of the Center under ‘Unlock-5’. Puducherry District Collector T. Arun said that the lockdown has been increased in the Union Territory of Containment Zone by the end of this month. As per the government order, “All the guidelines of the Center come into force today and will remain in force till the end of this month.” The order stated that any violation of the guidelines punishable under the Disaster Management Act 2004 and Pandemic Act 1897.
The schools will open in a phased manner. Classes X and XII will start from October 5 and classes IX and XI will start from October 12. He said that liquor shops and bars which have been closed for so many months will open according to the license conditions.
