(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and former Indian opener Chetan Chauhan died on Sunday at the age of 73. UP minister Chetan Chauhan died of a heart attack. Chauhan, who was infected with the coronation, was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Chauhan was found to be Corona positive last month. His limbs have stopped functioning and he was on a ventilator at the hospital in Gurugram.
Chauhan was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi PGI Hospital in Lucknow on July 11 after being found positive in Corona investigation. On 15 July, he was shifted from PGI of Lucknow to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Yesterday, the ventilator was shifted due to poor health. A second UP minister dies due to corona. Earlier, Kamal Rani Varun also died due to corona. On July 21 last month, Chetan Chauhan, MLA of Naugawa Assembly in Amroha district, celebrated his 73rd birthday.
On Saturday, a senior DDCA official had said, ‘In the morning, Chetan ji’s kidney stopped functioning and then many organs. He is on life support. We are praying that he wins this battle. ‘
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in his statement that my senior colleague and former cricketer of the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, Chetan Chauhan, was no more. This is an irreparable loss to my cabinet colleagues and to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh. He was as popular a player as he was a popular mass leader. I have just spoken to his family members. Tomorrow the funeral will be of Chetan Chauhan. We will have a casual cabinet meeting at seven o’clock.
