(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Uttar Pradesh: Immediately after the COVID-19 Outbreak, Masks were on high demand. After the announcement of Lockdown in India, both the central and the state government made it mandatory for all the people to carry a mask, to protect themselves from the coronavirus. But till today, people are negligent and moving around the streets without a mask.
To bid all the Violators, the Firozabad district administration took an innovative step. They have come up with an Idea – Anyone found on the streets without a mask has to write an imposition “Mask Lagaana Hai” (A mask has to be worn), 500 times. They named it Mask ki class and this class will be examined by a police officer and all the violators have to write that down 500 times and are made to sit in the class for 3-4 hours. In this particular class, The violators will be first shown a video, telling the importance of wearing a mask, the Officer added.
