Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): The process of direct recruitment to the vacant 9,534 vacancies in UP Police, PAC and Fire Department has been expedited. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is preparing to conduct examinations for this in January 2021. This recruitment process includes the posts of Sub Inspector in Civilian Police, Platoon Commander in PAC and Fire Officer II in Fire Department. It has the highest number of 9,027 posts of sub-inspector. The 484 posts are that of platoon commander. There are 23 posts of Fire Officer.
As soon as the recruitment process started, the number of posts of sub-inspectors increased as the DGP received a petition. Earlier, a total of 6,130 posts were to be advertised, with the number of sub-inspector posts being 5,623. The process of selection of the recruitment agency for recruitment is in the final stage. The process of selecting the examination agency proceeded twice with the receipt of tender from only two firms.

Candidates who have missed the physical efficiency test will be tested today.
The Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has given another chance to the candidates who did not participate in the Physical Efficiency Test held on 6 March 2020 by presenting a report. The physical efficiency test of these candidates will be held on September 25 for recruitment to the posts of Sub Inspector in Civil Police, Platoon Commander, and Constable in PAC. This information was given by the Additional Secretary (Recruitment) of the Board. He informed that candidates who do not appear in the examination on the rescheduled date and time will not be given a second chance. This exam will be conducted on Friday at 7.30 am at Reserve Police Lines Lucknow.
