(Bhagya Luxmi, Intern Journalist) Two SIT members probing the popular Bikaru scandal in Kanpur have been found to be Corona positive when tested. They were suspected after two days when the team went to the scene for investigation. The team members have been quarantined.
The Supreme Court committee probing the Bikaru scandal has sought several documents from the city police and administration. It has sought details of the action taken so far along with the post-mortem report of all the FIRs registered so far, martyred policemen, and miscreants killed in the encounter.
Let me tell you that on the night of July 2, the police team, which reached Vikas Dubey’s house in Bikaru village, was attacked by miscreants sitting ambush. In which eight policemen including CO Devendra Mishra were killed. While taking action in this case, UP STF killed Vikas Dubey and five of his associates in an encounter.
So far, police have sent more than 15 people to jail in this case. A development partner has also surrendered. At the same time, many crooks involved in this incident are still absconding. Many teams of UP STF are engaged to find them.
