(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: The Union Public Service Commission (Union Public Service Commission) has issued a notification for Combined Defense Services Examination- (I) -2021 (Combined Defense Services (CDS)).
Under this examination, 345 officers will be appointed to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Airforce Academy, Officers Training Academy. Interested candidates can apply online till 17 November 2020. To apply, the candidate has to visit the site https://upsconline.nic.in.

- Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun: 100 posts
- Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala: 26 posts
- Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad: 32 posts.
- Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Male): 170 posts.
- Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Female): 17 posts.
An IMA requires a graduate from a recognized university, while an Indian Naval Academy (INA) requires an engineering degree from a recognized university or institution. Graduates from the recognized university (12th from Physics and Maths Subjects) for the Airforce Academy (AFA) or students having a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering can also apply.
There is a total test of 300 marks in it.
It consists of three papers. 100-100 questions will be asked from English, Maths, and General Knowledge. A time schedule of two hours has been set for each letter. All questions will be of objective type. In English, there are questions related to its understanding and use of words. In addition to the current questions in General Knowledge, questions will be asked from the history and geography of India. There is also a provision for negative marking in this exam. The candidate who is successful in the written test calls for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview (Intelligence and Personality Test).
Unmarried men can apply for IMA (Indian Naval Academy) and Air Force Academy, while married men can apply for OTA (SSC Course Men). Unmarried, divorced / widowed women who have not remarried can also apply for OTA (SSC Course Women).
Divorced or widowed male candidates will not be considered unmarried, so they will not be eligible to apply to the IMA, INA, and AFA. During training, the candidate is not allowed to marry. The application fee is 200 rupees. This will have to be paid through cash or net banking/credit card/debit card at any branch of State Bank of India. Candidates of the women / SC / ST category are not to be charged. The online application process will be completed in two parts.
The application will be considered complete only after the completion of Part-1 and Part-2 registration. For this, one has to visit the website https://upsconline.nic.in.
