(Dharshini.G, Intern journalist) Bareilly: A coronavirus ward at an emergency clinic in Western Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly was filled with water after a pipeline introduced on the roof abruptly burst on Saturday evening.

Visuals of the occurrence, recorded on a cell phone by a patient inside the ward, demonstrated overwhelming stream water tumbling from an enormous opening in the roof.

After the video of the episode became a web sensation via web-based networking media Bareilly’s Joint Magistrate Ishan Pratap Singh said that the occurrence happened at a private clinical school working as a Covid-19 hospital,  because of a “plumbing failure” during the development work going on at the emergency clinic.

He included that the pipeline has been fixed and that patients have been moved to an alternate ward.

At least 47,036 individuals have been tested positive for coronavirus so far in Uttar Pradesh. The active COVID-19 cases in the state currently remain at 17,264, while 28,664 patients have recovered up until this point, senior state health official Amit Mohan Prasad said on Saturday.
