(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The Central Vigilance Commission is following the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, 2020. Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31 October) falls. This awareness week reaffirms our commitment to promote honesty and integrity in public life through citizen participation.
In the year 2020, Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated from 27 October to 2 November 2020 with the theme “Vigilant India, Prosperous India – Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat”. This topic has been chosen this year after putting the relevant topics on the website and obtaining the opinion of the Chief Vigilance Officers on the proposed subject.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is organizing a National Conference on Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (October 27 -29, 2020), which Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will address during Vigilance Awareness Week on 27.10.2020 at 5 pm, Which will be live webcast and all central government organizations/departments will be able to watch the live webcast.
