(Ritambhara, intern journalist) Uttar Pradesh: The Income Tax Department has prepared a list of 17 properties of Vikas Dubey treasurer Jai Bajpai. It has all kinds of properties like plots and buildings. Now the department is collecting information related to all these assets and their history so that the Benami wing can start its action on them.
Assets are also in someone else’s name
Jai Bajpai, the partner of Vikas Dubey, who emerged as the financial manager of Vikas Dubey, has been arrested, while the Enforcement Directorate, Police as well as the Income Tax Department have been collecting information about his properties from the beginning. The Income Tax Department has so far known about 17 properties of Jai Bajpai and has also made a list of them. However, many of these assets are not in the name of Jai Bajpai but in the name of others. The Income Tax Department believes that Jai Bajpai bought these properties in the name of his near ones instead of his name. The money earned through the crime of Vikas Dubey has also been spent on these properties.

The department has also informed the owners of these properties. Now the department is looking for a link to how the owners of these properties are connected to Jai Bajpai. When and who paid these assets and how and who paid the money to the seller. If the money was repaid from the bank account, whose account was it, and if the cash amount was given, then the economic status of the person who owns the property is such that he can buy that property. The Income Tax Department is preparing to give all these assets to the Benami wing investigation but before going into the investigation it wants to gather all the evidence so that once the case is made it cannot be dismissed.
