(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): New York, July 26 Violent demonstrations took place in several cities of the US last night. There were clashes between US agents and protesters outside the courthouse in Portland, Oregon, while policemen in Seattle had to take shelter in the police station due to the mob of protesters. Vehicles were set on fire in California and Virginia. A demonstrator was shot and killed in Austin, Texas.
According to eyewitnesses, the demonstration reached a car which had entered in the middle of March. By the way, he also probably had a rifle. An articulated bullet wound in Aurora, Colorado. The unrest Saturday and Sunday stemmed from several weeks of protests over racial injustice and police treatment of people on the basis of color.
On May 25, a black man, George Floyd, died at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis. In Auckland, California, protesters opened fire on a court (courthouse) late Saturday, damaged a police station and attacked officers.
The Auckland Police gave this information. The Auckland Police Department said on Twitter that protesters broke windows and made fireworks. The department said the protesters were urged several times to keep the peace. The organizers of the demonstration were asked to “help provide safe spaces for the protesters”. The protesters clashed with US agents who were deployed to protect a federal courthouse.
President Donald Trump sent federal agents to calm demonstrations since May 25 in Minneapolis following the death of a black man, George Floyd. Significantly, Floyd was allegedly murdered by a police officer after which violent protests started across the country. The demonstration began peacefully in Auckland but took violent form at night
