This VIP aircraft is reaching India from the US today. India had signed a deal with Boeing Company in 2018 for these aircraft. The work of customizing the aircraft was done in the US. Changes were made according to security requirements. The aircraft that India receives is named Air India One.
Air India One is equipped with an advanced and secure communication system that allows taking advantage of audio and video communication function even in the air (without hacking or tapping). Newly designed VIP aircraft for the President, Vice President, and PM is coming from America today. To strengthen PM Modi’s tight-knit security system, two aircraft with security like US President are going to be introduced to India today. The Prime Minister, President, and Vice President will travel in planes. These aircraft will be customized and equipped with high-security features.
The specialty of these two planes will also surprise you. The B777 aircraft will have state-of-the-art missile defense systems called Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCMs) and Self Protection Suits (SPS). In February, the US agreed to sell these two defense systems to India at a price of $ 19 million. Both the aircraft are being fitted with security devices that can thwart the biggest attack.

Currently, the Prime Minister, the President, and the Vice President travel by Air India B747 aircraft carrying the Air India One symbol. The driver of Air India One will wear Khadi clothes. The crew of Air India One will soon wear Khadi attire.

Khadi Gramodyog Bhawan, which comes under the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), has received an order in this regard. The order stated that female members of the crew would wear silk sarees while male members would wear Jodi coats, trousers, and jackets made of Khadi-made Jodhpuri.
