(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Vizag: A major fire blast transpired in the unit of Visakha Ramky solvents at Vizag Pharmacy on Monday midnight. The incident completely shook the residents of the Parawada region as it was just after a month since the LG Gas leakage took place. The explosion was heard at midnight followed by huge fires that invaded the entire city at once.
The fires have extended to 50 feet distance and the sound of the fire blast was audible till 10 kilometers. The surrounding was completely filled with smoke everywhere. Inhabitants of the surrounding areas came out of their houses and moved to safe places. Due to the fire blast, HT wire lines got heated up and broke down. The night shift workers at Pharmacy ran out Immediately as the fire broke to safe stretches.
The fire brigade reached the disaster spot in minutes, but still unable to control the fire since it has already extended to a few feet. The reasons behind the blast were unknown and yet to be investigated. Last week there was a minor gas leak from one of these gas companies at Pharmacy which has left 2 dead and 4 injured
