(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Union Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar said that farmers in Kolhapur who were complaining of elephants destroying crops told me that elephants have come out because they do not get enough fodder and water in the forest. Therefore, we have started a water and fodder program in 28 forests of 28 states.
Javadekar said that the Government of India has prepared a detailed project report for 13 important river systems, the National Mission for Clean Ganga is already being implemented.
