According to the medical bulletin issued by the state health department, 3979 new cases were reported during the last 24 hours while 59 people died. Let it be said that up to four days ago, more than 4,000 new cases were being reported continuously for the past several days.

At the same time, after the end of Durga Puja, there was a possibility of a large number of new cases coming up in the state, in such a case, the lack of new cases is a matter of relief.
With this, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 3 lakh 69 thousand 671, of which 36,999 are active cases. At the same time, the death toll from Corona has increased to 6,784.


On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, the total number of people recovering from a record 4,015 patients has also increased to 3 lakh 25 thousand 888. At the same time, the recovery rate of patients has increased to 88.16 percent, which was 88.02 percent a day earlier.
Of the 59 deaths that have taken place in the last 24 hours, Kolkata has 18-18 in North and Parganas, 8 in Howrah, and 4 each in Hooghly and Nadia districts.


It is noteworthy that 3989 new cases and 61 deaths occurred on Thursday also a day earlier. There were 3924 new cases and 60 deaths on Wednesday. There were 3957 new cases and 58 deaths on Tuesday.
During the last 24 hours, 43,774 samples have been tested in the state. With this, the total number of investigations in the state so far has been 45 lakh 12 thousand 270.
