Suparna Ghosh (Intern Journalist) Kolkata: A 28-year-old housewife allegedly assassinated her own daughter who was three years old after her husband lost his job on a private farm during the lockdown. The deadly incident took place in Barrackpore at their rented house. The body of the mother Pravin Khan has been recovered by the cops that were found hanging from the ceiling, while her daughter’s dead body was rescued from the bed this Thursday morning.
The incident is said to be ruthless and vicious by the cops, and they are still investigating the reasons for such brutal acts. Neighbors reported that the couple had been depressed for quite a few days, and also the husband for the past few days had been searching for his job desperately.
Reportedly, police have detained the husband, who was out looking for a job on Thursday for a round of questioning. Cops suspect the prime reason behind the murder is financial stress, but still, they are waiting for the autopsy report of the bodies rescued.
Sujay Saha, who happened to be the landlord, stated that “The couple was very happily leading their life, without any feud between the two.”
