Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) Mumbai WhatsApp entered into an increasingly tense battle between multinational companies like Google and Alibaba for India’s fastest growing digital payments markets.
The industry informed that it was launching Whatsapp pay just after it got permission from the country’s payments regulator. India is the messenger firm’s biggest market with some 400 million users.
WhatsApp pay allows people to send and receive money through a messaging platform that was introduced in June However it was suspended because of competition issues raised by the Central Bank.
