(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: The famous messaging app Whatsapp has officially announced the Disappearing Messages feature. This feature will be released worldwide through an update this month. Through this feature, users will have the facility that their sent messages disappear from the chat themselves after 7 days. This type of feature has already been seen in popular apps like Snapchat, Telegram, and Signal. The company has started rolling out the Disappearing Messages feature from Thursday, which will reach all devices by the end of this month. It will be available on Android, iOS, Linux-based KaiOS, WhatsApp web, and desktop versions of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp recently explained how to enable or disable the Disappearing Messages feature.
This feature of WhatsApp will be quite different from Telegram. Where users decide in telegram how many days the message will disappear, in WhatsApp, the message itself will disappear after 7 days. At the same time, in Snapchat, the receiver’s message disappears soon after seeing it.
WhatsApp says that the reason behind keeping the message disappearance limit for 7 days is that it will also complete the conversion of the users and they will also be satisfied that the messages will disappear themselves. This feature is provided to every chat window, whether individual or group chat; Will have to be enabled separately. For this, you have to click on the name of the chat, while you will see the option. After enabling, all the new messages of the user will disappear after 7 days.
