Akshi Kamboj (intern journalist) Pune: as Pune entered a 10-day lockdown on Tuesday amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Pune municipal corporation (PMC) has sought public support. It urged the public to come forward and help the civic bodies in implementing the three “I”s strategy.
in the last two weeks, PMC saw an alarming increase in the count of COVID-19 cases with the warje-Karve Nagar area being the worst affected. Followed by hadapsar-mundhwa ward office area and kondhwa-yeolewadi ward office areas with 57.91 percent and 56.66 percent increase in caseloads respectively.

“We request all Pune residents to support the PMC. We are planning to focus on the three ‘I’s – identification of suspected patients, increased contact tracing and testing, and increase in dedicated Covid beds,”
