(Ritambhara, intern journalist ) WHO: With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a competition to develop vaccines in many countries around the world, but so far no successful vaccine has come. The World Health Organization (WHO) has hoped to have the vaccine ready for registration by the end of this year or early next year, regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. This information was given by WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan on Monday.

Swaminathan said, ‘As you know, there are about 40 vaccine candidates at some stages of the clinical trial and 10 of them are in the third phase of the trial which is in the final stages of the clinical trial so that it is known to be effective and safe. Will work. So we can only guess that the vaccine will be ready for registration by the last month of 2020 from December to early 2021.

This year started with the outbreak of the pandemic and since then all the countries of the world started making vaccines but till now have not been successful in reaching the WHO recognized Phase-3 trial. By the end of this year, many vaccines are expected to be registered. So far, the number of coronavirus infections worldwide has crossed 300 million, and more than 10 lakh 70 thousand people have died.
