(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); In the midst of political turmoil in Rajasthan (Rajasthan Political Crisis), Congress on Tuesday removed the rebel leader Sachin Pilot from the post of State Congress President and Deputy Chief Minister. Due to the rebellion of Sachin Pilot, It has started clouding of crisis around Ashok Gehlot’s government. In the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly of 200 members, the Gehlot government is claiming the support of about 100 MLAs. At the same time, with the removal of Westerns from all the posts of the party, Congress has also taken away the ministership of two ministers who supported them. Despite all this, no one has been thrown out of the party. There is also a reason behind it.
It is believed that Sachin Pilot has the support of 17 MLAs. Among them are himself and three independent MLAs. In such a situation, if these 17 MLAs are removed from the party, according to the parliamentary rules, they can form a separate independent front or can also join the BJP. Apart from this, the important thing is that then they will also get the right to vote against the Gehlot government during the confidence vote.
On the other hand, if Congress already declares the vote of confidence to all these 17 MLAs, then the majority figure will be less than the current figure. Currently, the majority figure is 101. If all these 17 MLAs are disqualified under the anti-defection law then the majority figure will be 92. The Congress is expected to have 90 MLAs of its own. With this, the Gehlot government can win the trust vote with the support of 2 CPM MLAs.
In such a situation, again Ashok Gehlot will not need the support of 10 independents and 2 MLAs of Bharatiya Tribal Party. He withdrew support from the Congress government. At the same time, Congress has accused Sachin Pilot and the MLAs supporting him for being involved in the anti-party activity. With this, he has said that the party’s doors will always be open for dialogue. Speakers can now be disqualified under the anti-defection law by those involved in the anti-party activity.
BJP is talking of trust votes among all. Sachin Pilot has spoken with him about the support of 30 MLAs. He also said that Ashok Gehlot’s government is in the minority. At the same time, Congress claimed 109 MLAs in the initial phase. After this, their number was 107. Then 106 MLAs had reached the legislative party meeting. At the same time, the Tribal Party of India has said that it will not support both the government and the BJP.
