(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lakhisaray: On Friday evening due to a family feud in Bela Merath village of Halsi police station area, the husband shot and killed the wife in the courtyard of the house.
The daughter of the deceased has told that her husband has shot her mother. It is learned that the accused and his wife have been in dispute for a long time. The reason for the dispute is the husband’s love affair with another woman, due to which the husband shot his wife. It has been learned from SDPO Ranjan Kumar that a long-running dispute was going on between Bombam Nonia and his wife Kanti Devi.
The husband lived in Jaipur due to work and the wife alleged that she had an illegal relationship with another girl. There was a dispute between them on opposing this, due to which they often got beaten up. While giving information about the matter, the family said that the police had filed a number of reports on the incident of assault but the police did not take any action. After which she was shot and killed on Friday evening. The daughter of the deceased woman, Sandhya Kumari, said that her father had shot and killed her. The police tried to take possession of the dead body for post-mortem but the relatives refused to do so. The family has stopped saying that no dead body will be allowed to be taken until a senior official comes.
