(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) USA: Since the Coronavirus outbreak, scientists all over the world are busy, working to find out a vaccine for COVID-19 disease. Now, The US Biotech trail, Moderna said it penetrated the final stage, of human trails, for its vaccine. The news came out publicly as the recent trails worked out and triggered the production of antibodies in the human body that can fight, against the virus.
In the upcoming trial of this vaccine, 30,000 participants in the US were selected. And half of them will be given the vaccine dose of 100 micrograms and the rest half with a placebo. After the Third trail, the researchers will shadow them for two years locating out whether they are protected from the virus. And if affected with the virus, is the vaccine helping them to prevent symptoms from developing. This complete study will be extended until October 27, 2022, but the preliminary results will be out long before.
This News came out as The New England Journal of Medicine published about the Moderna Vaccine Trails. It stated that clinical trials are conducted on 45 active members, and all of them developed antibodies. But Scientists warn saying that the first vaccines to come to the market are not so effective and safe. But if everything goes according to the plan, we can expect a vaccine early shortly.
