(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Guntur: As the number of COVID-19 cases is progressing up every day, Guntur has gone under partial lockdown. The District collector Samuel Anand Kumar said, establishments are made, and shops will be open only till noon.
The Overall number of cases has reached to 2800. Guntur city itself has more than 1000 COVID positive cases. Also, the chamber of commerce has agreed to open the shops between 6 am-12 pm. Initially, a COVID free green zone, Brodipet has now turned out to be a hot spot for the virus spread. Brodipet is a trading zone, declared red zone now.
The containment zones are already barricaded. Even the Grocery and essential food items are delivered home, in the Red areas. ” It’s mandatory for all the people to maintain social distance, carry sanitizers, and to use masks, added District Collector, Anand.
