Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): A woman from Madhepura was raped in a bus going from Delhi to Madhepura on NH 28 near Chanpatti village of Nagar police station in Gopalganj district of Bihar. Acting on the complaint of the victim, the police of the city police station took action and arrested the Khalasi of the bus. The arrested Khalasi is Manu Pal of Amba village of Morenaganj police station in Madhya Pradesh.
In the statement, the 24-year-old victim has said that she is a resident of the Bihariganj police station area of Madhepura. On September 21, she went home from work to Delhi. After not getting work through acquaintance there, Mousi’s son left and boarded a bus going from Delhi to Darbhanga.
The bus departed on the night of 22 September. On the night of 24, when the bus stopped near Chanpatti village of Gopalganj Nagar police station, the Khalasi sent the passengers to the hotel for tea, breakfast, and dinner. She also sat on the bus carrying water. After this Khalasi saw him alone and raped him.
The incident of rape of a woman on a bus has been executed. An FIR has been lodged against the bus’s occupant in the case. He has also been arrested. Preparations are on to send him to judicial custody.
