(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Noida: A 47-year-elderly person was captured from south Goa for supposedly hoodwinking more than 900 individuals to the tune of ₹250 crores after promising them gigantic quantifiable profits in her application based taxi organization, police said on Monday. 

As per a police objection stopped in 2019, the lady and her colleagues Saroj Mahapatra, Rajesh Mahto, Sunder Bhati, and Harish Bhati tricked individuals after promising higher paces of enthusiasm up to 200 percent consistently on interest in her organization called ‘Hi Taxi’. 

Police said more than 900 individuals have put resources into the firm. The organization has four co-chiefs who, alongside the lady, fled with the cash assessed at ₹250 crores. 

“During the examination, it was discovered that the heads of the organization effectively instigated the casualties to leave behind their cash on the affection of exceptional yields by putting resources into Hello Taxi organization,” Joint Commissioner of Police (EOW) O P Mishra said.

They blamed additionally as often as possible changed their workplaces. At first, the organization’s office was in Ghaziabad and following a few months, the workplace was moved to Patparganj Industrial Area and later to Sector-16, Rohini, Mishra said. 

The organization’s bank proclamations were investigated and its financial balances containing ₹3,27,48,495 were solidified. 

Sixty new vehicles worth ₹3.5 crores bought from the deceived sum were seized in Noida, police said. 

The lady whose character has not been uncovered by police was captured from south Goa. Mahto, one of the four co-chiefs in the organization, was captured on August 23. 

Police said endeavours were in progress to catch their assistants.
