(Rishika Iyer, Intern Journalist): “Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it”, as said by J.K.Rowling the pain that women have gone through from past centuries just made it worse and here we are still fighting for equal rights, equal pay, equal opportunities, misogyny, patriarchy and what not. Though the protest and voice have been heard and are getting the recognition we still live in the society which is not safe for a woman to walk down the street in the middle of the night.
India stands to be the 7th most dangerous country for women to live and 1000 women are raped and murdered every hour in this nation. From 2016 the stats and the graph have been always inclined when it comes to the rape cases in India. Talking about period loudly might cause you a black mark in the social cause there are 100 of teenage girls die every day just because of period related disease. We are fighting from centuries to centuries and still fighting for our basic needs, but here we are talking about the pain what women go through, irony just smirked.
