Velocity, the team led by Mithali Raj, has been eliminated from this tournament, as the Velocity team had a poor net run rate. At the same time, two-time women IPL champions Supernovas and Trailblazers have reached the finals by winning one match and with a better net run rate. The Supernovas team will take on the Trailblazers in the final of the Women’s T20 Challenge to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium here on Monday. Supernovas will be eyeing the title hat-trick, while the team of trailblazers will want to become the new champions of the Women’s T20 Challenge. The two teams had clashed with each other earlier on Saturday, where the Supernovas beat the Trailblazers by two runs in a close contest. In such a situation, the final match will be quite interesting.
The third team in the tournament, Velocity, won one of the two matches, while the team suffered a severe defeat in the second match, where the team could not even cross the 50 marks against the Trailblazers.
