The number of MNREGA job cardholders in the district is 2,59,057.
The government may be claiming to provide laborers in the village during the coronavirus infection, but the reality is the opposite, the fact is that the laborers in the village have not been getting work for four months, due to which they can build buildings in the city and Others are coming in search of work.
Every morning, near Navalgadhia Dharamshala on Motilal Road in Deoria city, the laborers come to the village in search of work on foot or by bicycle. Many laborers have to return home disappointed after being late in the city. The reason is that the contractor or other people take the workers on fixed wages before 8 am.
