This information was given by Junaid Ahmed, the Country Director of India at the World Bank on Friday. He also said, ‘The economy has come down due to social distancing. The Government of India has focused on the Garib Kalyan Yojana to help protect the poor and the vulnerable.
Earlier, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced a $ 1.5 billion package to India for help from Corona. The New Development Bank has also announced a billion-dollar emergency aid to India.
Explain that the Indian government is trying to control the corona as well as to remove the lockdown in a phased manner. The government is trying to give momentum to the economy. The amount received from the World Bank will help in this direction. The government announced a poor welfare package of one lakh seventy thousand crores.
After this, in the address to the nation, the Prime Minister announced a package of 20 lakh crores. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will give this information in three phases.
