Worship places open in Kanpur from today

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: For the first time in the corona era, religious places in the city have opened since Wednesday. All religious places will follow the rule of the covid protocol. Special Emphasis will be on mask, social distancing, sanitizer. No mass ceremony will be held. Apart from this, separate permission has to be obtained for the program at the festival or occasion.

There will be no more than a hundred people living in a religious Council with a large area. The decision was taken in a meeting did the religious leaders late Tuesday evening at the district collector office. In the two and a half-hour meeting, religious leaders insisted on opening the Shrine in one voice. In the meeting held in a presence of DM and DIG, right from the beginning, religious Gurus proposed to open the temples by ending the long wait.

DM and DIG expressed concern over not stopping infection and insisted on waiting a few more days. Religious Guru said that the opening of the Shrine with precaution has become now necessary. The Managing committee of all the sites will co-operate fully. Preparations related to covid protocol have been made. The authorities agreed to open Temple Mosques, Gurudwaras, and Churches with the condition that all religious leaders were in favor of opening.
