Protests took place in several cities of the country against French President Emmanuel Macron’s statement on ‘Islamic terrorism’. However, the Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh has made it clear that such demonstrations will not be tolerated.
The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a tough stance on demonstrations against France in the state. An alert has been issued by the UP DGP office saying that those who commit violence and disturbance will be dealt with vigorously. Besides, instructions have also been given to increase petrol in sensitive districts. The government is keeping a special watch on western Uttar Pradesh.
