(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Yogi government will start a mega campaign of mission employment in Uttar Pradesh. Under the campaign which will run from November to March, a target has been set to provide employment to 50 lakh youth. In this, the appointment process for vacant posts in government departments, councils, corporations will be completed as well as employment opportunities will be created in the private sector and through self-employment through government efforts. Action plan of ‘Mission Employment’ has been prepared. The Chief Minister will formally inaugurate it after Diwali.

Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari on Wednesday finalized the action plan for ‘Mission Employment’ in a meeting with top government officials. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the Mission Employment will provide maximum employment and self-employment opportunities in government departments, corporations, councils, boards, organizations, and voluntary organizations, local bodies. Department wise job creation target will be set. By March, 50 lakh youth will be enabled for employment, self-employment, self-employment through skills training.

There will be a help desk in every office
To make the campaign a success, help desks will be set up in the offices of every department, organization, authority, where information related to employment, self-employment, and skill development training will be given. A database of employment will be prepared. Apps and portals will also be developed. All the directorates, corporations, boards, commissions, etc. will conduct their campaigns through industrial development. The Chief Secretary’s Committee will monitor the campaign. Meanwhile, the committee headed by the DM in the districts will prepare the action plan. Directorate of Training and Employment will organize employment fairs in collaboration with private industries. At the same time, the already stopped recruitments will also be completed.

Lone fair in every district
CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to organize loan fair in every district. He said that the targets would be set according to the branch while coordinating with the banks. Every branch must give loans to at least one SC-ST and one woman entrepreneur. In the last five months, 6.24 lakh new MSME units have received loans of Rs 18,330 crore from banks. Meanwhile, a loan of Rs 10,847 crore has been given to 4.37 lakh units already operating under the Self-Reliant India package.

7.93 lakh will get training
The UP government has set a target of training 7.93 lakh youth this year under the Skill Development Mission, which is the highest ever. A separate skill development plan is being prepared for each district so that opportunities can be created at the local level only. International level training is being imparted free of cost to 50 thousand youth of the state through online learning platform Coursera, USA.
