(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: The Yogi government has committed to making all the primary schools of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council at par with the English medium schools. CM Yogi Adityanath has given a big instruction regarding basic schools of Basic Education Council and has set a time limit for their rejuvenation. According to CM Yogi’s plan, within the next two years, these schools will compete with the convent schools. 1.59 lakh primary schools are being provided with basic facilities through Operation Rejuvenation.

The Yogi government is working on 14 standards to change the picture of primary schools. In the first phase, all schools will work on 10 standards, while 4 standards have been targeted to be completed by March 2022. To increase the quality of education, the government is going to introduce the NCERT syllabus in council schools from the next academic session 2021-22. So far, 16 thousand schools in the state have been made English Medium. Teachers appointed in these schools are also being trained in this regard. For the convenience of children in schools, arrangements are also being made to study from the library, reading corner, and projector.

At present, shortage of teachers is a big problem in primary schools. To accomplish this, the government has said to recruit about 50 thousand teachers next year. After this there will be no shortage of teachers in schools, while apart from this Shikshamitra will also be present. Through Operation Rejuvenation, the government is trying to provide that environment for children in schools, so that the quality of their education can be increased and they can be ready for the future.
