Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari said that contact tracing should be increased and focus testing should be done in the districts where more corona positive cases are coming up. He has directed to review the testing target in districts with 5 percent or more positive cases.
The Chief Secretary was brainstorming preventive measures with Covid-19 along with senior administration officials. He said that positive cases are increasing in Delhi. Therefore, special vigilance is required in the border districts. Antigen tests should also be done on a random basis for passengers of major trains, airplanes, and buses coming from outside.
He said that adequate staff, medicines, oxygen, beds, and other necessary equipment should be available in all Covid hospitals. Regular monitoring should also be done. Time for doctors to take rounds should be posted on the notice board. Separately 1-1 officer should be posted in all Covid hospitals, who regularly submit their reports after checking CCTV footage and video recordings. The districts where more cases of death from Covid are coming up should be reviewed separately. Taking the cases of death seriously in Meerut, he instructed to send the team under the leadership of Principal Secretary Medical and Health Alok Kumar.
All the senior officers including Additional Chief Secretary Medical Education Dr. Rajneesh Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad, Principal Secretary Medical and Health Alok Kumar, and Secretary Chief Minister Alok Kumar were present in the meeting through video conferencing.
