(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Hariparvat area of Agra, at around 10 pm on Thursday night, the neighbor entered the house and attacked the girl with a knife. The girl somehow saved herself, she has a bruise on her throat.
The mother tried to apprehend the attacker, but the accused escaped, threatening to throw acid at the woman. The woman said, “The young man was pressurizing her for marriage. The police have not been able to arrest him.”
The woman told the police that, “She works in a private company. Anil Rajaura of the neighborhood has been harassing him for a long time. First, he was pressing for friendship by calling on mobile, then started saying that he had to get married. He was a brother’s friend, the brother even stopped talking to him. After this, he started threatening on the phone.
Inspector Ajay Kaushal, in-charge of Police Station Hariparvat told that ‘a lawsuit has been filed. The accused escaped from the house. A team has been set up in search of him. Police also went to his relatives, but he was not found. The girl has been given medical treatment, police have been posted in the locality.’
