Police recovered the scooty used in the incident from the accused. The accused were produced in the court where they were sent to jail. On Sunday night, the truck driver was going from Lucknow to Kanpur after selling ballast, then stopped there near the culvert and slept there.
Driver Sujit Kumar, Son of Laxmi Narayan, resident of Sachendi prayed in Kotwali that around 1:00 pm, while he was sleeping, a young man and a scooty rider came to him and threatened him with a gun and snatched 30000 rupees from the cabin. Police arrested scooty rider Rohit son of Samim resident Umrao Hata Lucknow and a woman Rupa wife of Ramswaroop resident Ghanshyampur, Chaubepur Thana district Kanpur Dehat near Gurudwara mor. While recovering the scooty used in the incident from him, the police also recovered 27000 rupees. Outpost in-charge Jitendra Yadav said that the accused were sent to court where they have been sent to jail.
