Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: Rakesh Rawat (38) was shot dead during a birthday party in the flat of SP MLC Amit Yadav on Friday night in a VIP law-apartment apartment near the Police Commissioner residence in Hazratganj. Rakesh’s father Maniram has filed a murder case. Police officers were blown away by the incident in the High-Security Zone. The police have arrested four people, including the brother of SP MLC. However, the accused have spoken of shooting during the snatch. According to police, the bullet was fired from an illegal pistol. The matter is under investigation.

Inspector Hazratganj Anjani Pandey said that Amit Yadav, a resident of Flat No. 201 in Laplace, is a Samajwadi Party MLC from Shahjehanpur Pilibhit United constituency seat. His brother Pankaj Yadav, a resident of Sehramau Kaliya in Shahjahanpur, lives in the flat.

Pankaj was having a birthday celebration at Ismailganj, Ghazipur’s friend Vinay Yadav’s residence at 8 pm on Friday night. The party also had Rakesh of Satrib from Barabanki, Gyanendra Kumar of Rajeevnagar of Indiranagar and Aftab Alam of Sarvodayanagar in Ghazipur. Aftab had brought beer. Everyone drank a lot of beer. After getting drunk, Pankaj took out an illegal pistol hidden in his possession.

Police say friends started snooping to see the pistol, in which the bullet was fired. The bullet hit Rakesh’s face and he fell in a bled. He was taken to the trauma center where he died.

At around 2 pm, Vinay called 112 services and informed about it, then the police got information. Officials including DCP Madhya Somain Burma, ACP Hazratganj Raghavendra Mishra reached the spot. The forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence. The police have taken Vinay into custody.

ACP Hazratganj said that the illegal pistol belonged to Pankaj Yadav, brother of SP MLC. Pistol and a magazine have been recovered on Pankaj’s spot. Pankaj had kept this pistol illegally for many years. When, where, and from whom did he bring the pistol? Information is being collected about this.

Police said that he drank beer and liquor heavily during the party. Five people drank 20 cans of beer. All were intoxicated. 20 cans of beer have been found by chance. Along with this, other things have also been found.

Graduated with graduation from class eight ACP Hazratganj said that all those involved in the party were childhood friends. All have studied together from class 8 to graduation. Rakesh’s family members said that he lived here and worked as an accountant in a private finance company. He often stayed with Pankaj at his flat.
