(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: In view of the increasing havoc of Corona, the district administration has locked down the entire 10 police station areas of the city since last night. It will continue until 10:00 on Friday night. now public transport and markets will be completely closed in these areas, only essential services will continue throughout the city on Saturday and Sunday as before. A further lockdown will be decided after a review on Sunday. meanwhile, CM has directed to send special teams of doctors to Kanpur.
These are the police station areas where lockdown is held :
- Kalyanpur
- Chakeri
- Govind Nagar
- Kidwai Nagar
- Naubasta
- Kakadev
- Barra
- Nawabganj
- Swaroop Nagar
- Kotawali
During the lockdown, Hospitals, medical stores, bread, milk, fruits, vegetables, petrol pump, hotels, and restaurants (home delivery only), home delivery of essential commodities, and government offices will open.
All types of markets, shops, showrooms, factories, traffic, and private offices, etc. will be closed.
