(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) New Delhi; Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Monday will launch ‘high throughput’ Covid-19 testing facilities in three cities- Noida, Mumbai, and Kolkata through video conferencing.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), these facilities will ramp up testing capacity on the country and help in strengthening early detection and treatment, this will assist in spreading and controlling the Covid-19.

These three testing high throughput testing facilities was set up strategically at the ICMR-National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research, Noida; the ICMR- National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai and ICMR-National Institute of Cholera and enteric Diseases, Kolkata and will able to conduct a test of above 10,000 samples per day.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister along with Chief Ministers of Maharastra, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to take part in this event.

India has seen a growth of 48,641 Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 13,85,522 said by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.
