(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): India has deployed more than 15,000 troops in Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) and Depsang sectors to curb China’s woes. Several armored regiments have been shifted from the plains and the surrounding area to keep an eye on the Chinese army.
The armored regiments are spread over an area from KK to Def song, where there are ample scope and space for deployment and fighting of armored vehicles. Sources said that the number of weapons that have been arranged in a possible battlefield on the grounds of Depsang is sufficient for the Chinese Army to respond to any possible daring.
The heavy deployment has been done gradually to strengthen the situation in the DBO and Depsang area after the Chinese Army sent patrols to block Indian soldiers arriving in PP-10 to PP-13. The area adjoins the Galvan Valley and is connected by the Durbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldi road on the main highway connecting eastern Ladakh to Leh.
